That’s the title of the new series we’re launching this Sunday, December 2nd. So what is it that YOU want for Christmas this year? And what is it that your heavenly Father wants for you this Christmas?
For the next few weeks of Advent, we’ll be looking at the birth of God-in-human-flesh through the eyes of those closest to him. We’ll be looking at what they wanted for that season of their lives verses what God actually served up for them. In so doing, I know God has some important truths to communicate to every one of us about our dreams, desires and even Christmas plans.
Don’t miss the kick-off of this series this weekend as we enjoy a wonderful piece of Eric’s theatrical gift along in Joseph’s personal journey that first “Christmas.” See you Sunday at 9, 11 or 6.
CHRISTMAS IN CAMBODIA: Mosaic Fellowship, you’re AMAZING!!! We’re delighted to announce that we reached our goal of 125 children sponsored this Christmas in Cambodia. THANK YOU for blessing kids in ways they will never forget.
If you would like to write a few Christmas notes or cards to some of the children, please do so TODAY and bring them to one of the worship gatherings TOMORROW so we can get them in the mail to Mark in Cambodia and he can add them to the gift boxes that will be given to children in the next few weeks. Thank you, Mosaic, for an amazing gift of love to children in Cambodia!
CHRISTMAS SOUPS
This Christmas we’ll be blessing our downtown neighbors with homemade packages of soup and invitations to join us for one of our Christmas Eve services (yes, still December 24th and still at 3 and 5 p.m.). Plan to join either the Men’s Connection breakfast next Saturday, December 8th, or the Women’s Breakfast December 15th and then stay a little longer to package the hundreds of gift soups we’ll be making. We’ll hand them out to neighborhood residents the weekend just before Christmas along with an invitation to join us Christmas Eve.
SPECIAL “OPEN-CONDUIT” SESSION this week:
Monday, December 3rd, from 6:30-7:30, we will be having an “open” Conduit session at Second Space with a special guest, Dr. Diane Danley, Providence’s Supportive Care Physician. As we’ve been looking at what the Bible has to say about human nature, the soul and when life begins and ends on earth, we’ve begun to address end of life issues. If you have questions about end of life dilemmas and medical ethics related to that, feel free to join us MONDAY evening for this very interesting and pertinent discussion.
Have a blessed weekend in Christ.
Pastor John
