Hello All!
Whenever you get to put all those four things together in one day (beaches, barbeques, baptisms and bonfires), you know it’s going to be a great day. That’s why we’re so excited about this Saturday. If you are not be able to join us for Mosaic camping Thursday through Sunday this week at Heyburn State Park (Hawley's Landing campground), join us for a special lake day on Saturday, August 25th, at the same beautiful place.
Starting at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, we will meet at the Chatcollete Marina for a 12 mile BIKE ride across the St. Joe River and along the shores of beautiful Lake Coeur d’Alene. (To get to the trailhead, take Hwy 95 in Idaho to Plumber, turn left towards St. Marries onto Hwy 5 and go about 7 miles down to the lake. There is a parking lot at the marina.) Being an old railroad grade, this paved and gentle trail is one of the best bike trails in the inland Northwest. Pack a lunch (or plan to eat in Harrison) and bring some money for ice cream. You won’t be disappointed in either the view or the food.
We’re also planning to celebrate a BAPTISM later that day, about 5:00 p.m., at the BEACH back at Hawley’s Landing Campground. If you would like to be baptized, just give me (Pastor John) a call (710-8026) to let me know. Then invite all your friends and family to join us as you take this important step of going public with your faith in Jesus Christ.
At 6:00 p.m. we’ll be enjoying a BARBEQUE at our main campsite (look for the Mosaic signs) at Hawley’s Landing. For only $3.00 a person, you can enjoy hamburgers, hot dogs and all the good barbeque foods that accompany a great picnic. Please make your reservations for this BBQ with Menesia (phone 217-2572 or email
) by Wednesday night, August 21st so we can be sure to have enough food. The evening will conclude with a campfire, smores and a time of sharing about our great God.
And all that fun doesn’t even include what we’ve got planned for worship together on Sunday at Mosaic. If you’re in town this weekend, plan to be a part of experiencing the heart of God in the heart of the city at 9 or 11 a.m. this Sunday as we continue to look at how to really become disciple-making disciples of Jesus.
See you somewhere this weekend, Lord willing.
Pastor John
