Pastor's Weekly Update

Come Hungry

Posted by John Repsold on with 0 Comments

This Sunday we’ll be experiencing something completely NEW for Mosaic and probably for most of you as well. But it wasn’t new for the first century church.  In fact, it was so common that Paul wrote about it in I Corinthians 11 when he talked about the “Lord’s Supper.”

So without spoiling the fun, let me just encourage you to come to church hungry this Sunday—hungry physically, hungry spiritually and hungry relationally.  If you’re open to a fresh work of God in your life this week, I can pretty much guarantee that you won’t go home feeling the same as when you came. While you will definitely be “filled up” in certain ways, I hope you go home even hungrier than when you arrived in at least one or two ways as well.

So we’ll see you Sunday…and bon appétit!

NICARAGUA…HERE WE COME!

Michelle and Alex Weidemann are flying out Saturday morning to participate in this year’s Agros Project ministry in Nicaragua. Thanks to all of you who have helped them get this far.  They are still a few hundred dollars short but, hey, there are still 36 hours until they leave. If you would like to be a part of their ministry at our village Luz del Manana over the next few weeks, please designate your gift “Agros Project” when you put it in the offering.  And be praying for God to move in their lives and the village residents as well.

LAST CALL FOR ALPHA

This is your last chance to get on board this semesters with Alpha Course.  If you’ve not taken this course before or have taken it but have an unchurched friend or relative you would like to bring to the course, please let us know by Monday, January 30th.  The Wednesday group has a number of openings still while the Sunday group options are growing very limited.  Talk with me (John) or Eric Stapelton ASAP.

BREAKING OUT

If you’ve been around Mosaic lately you know that things are getting a little tight space-wise, especially first service.  So we’ve arranged to expand the gallery space a bit by taking out a couple of walls and adding a new one for a side meeting room area.

We plan to begin this project on the first Saturday of February (Feb. 4th) by constructing the new room first and then, in the following week, do the demolition of the old walls.  If you would like to help with this project in any way, please let us know by contacting the office at .  And get ready for a break-out experience.

MONDAYS @ MOSIAIC begin in February 6th with two classes, Helping Without Hurting and What Has Your Heart.  Sign up this week so we can have enough books and material on hand.

May God richly bless you as you wait on Him.

John
