Dear Mosaic Family,

It’s just so much easier to talk about prayer than it is to really pray!  But if you were with us last Sunday, you know that there are amazing blessings for us when we actually spend some of our time together talking with and listening to the Father in prayer. 

My question today is short and sweet:  What have you decided to change about your prayer life over this next month? 

Sunday I challenged all of us to just choose one thing you want to change or expand in your prayer life…and then actually DO IT over this next month.  For 30 days, ask God to help you take another step forward in your communication with our Almighty God.  If you need some fresh ideas, take a look at the written notes on Sunday’s sermon that list a bunch of ideas you might want to consider. 

One more thing:  Mosaic Fellowship is responsible for praying for our city and the unity of God’s church here in Spokane on the 2^nd Wednesday of every month.  That means that tomorrow, June 8, you’re encourage to do something unique or extra in prayer that you may not normally do.  That may be taking your lunch hour to pray or prayer walk around your place of work.  It might be coming to Wednesday night prayer at Mosaic (7:00 p.m., 3^rd floor conference room, 608 W. 2^nd Ave.  Parking is free on the street after 7:00!)  It might mean getting up a little earlier to pray…or talking a walk with God in the cool of the evening after sunset…hatever floats your boat of prayer a little higher!

Here are some people and issues you may want to pray about tomorrow and this coming month:

1. People:  those you know struggling with physical infirmities at your work, in your neighborhood and at Mosaic (Jesse Achenbach started chemo TODAY; Jeremy Stanton goes to Seattle this weekend for 6 weeks of chemo and proton therapy; Jason Spade—ongoing M.S. and solution to now 3-year wait for disability determination); Those who need to come to know Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord; the growth of Mosaic in terms of spiritual maturity, reaching more lost people, loving fellowship together, spiritual hunger; major life transitions for people like Sam & Krista L. moving overseas, Andrew B. to Czech Republic, Arty M. to Cuba and Marcie W. to Austria & Poland, upcoming weddings of Derik & Zoe, Josh & Kate, Daniel & Stacie. 
2. Ministries: Changing Lives (Bob Putnam & team; June 24-26 retreat), Unite Family Services (medically fragile foster kids and their biological parents; Candice Achenbach’s leadership), developing partnership with Youth for Christ and coming Downtown Youth Center, Mosaic Community Bike Shop (staff and Holy Spirit impact on clients), Mosaic Children’s Ministry, Pioneer Pathways Ministry Team (Wednesday dinners & Saturday brunch, Bible study and craft time),
3. Issues: completion of the final stages of purchase of our new Mosaic Center facility at 3^rd and Howard in a timely fashion so we can do renovations in July and move there this summer; funding for this move; corporate grant request with Diamond Parking for the Bike Shop lease; negotiations for coffee shop space in the same block plus needed funding.
4. City-wide prayer needs:  unity of God’s people around Jesus & the Gospel; the many church Daily Vacation Bible Schools (DVBS), day camps and summer camps in our community; new church planting efforts; spiritual awakening of the lost in Spokane; spiritual revival of God’s people, the church, in our city; fatherhood initiatives in Spokane(through the GSAE—Greater Spokane Assoc. of Evangelicals).
