If you’ve watched the news this week, you’ve undoubtedly seen the chatter surrounding the Christian network, Family Radio, and its now months-long proclamation about May 21^stbeing the impending date of Christ’s return and the start of 5 months of non-stop earthquakes.  The network's president, 89-year-old Harold Camping, a decades-long student of the Bible, claims that there are a couple of Scriptures that pinpoint the date of Jesus’ return.  Problem is, he’s been wrong before. He predicted that the apocalypse would occur in September 1994 and, last time I checked, we’re all still here. 

There’s been no shortage throughout the last 2,000 years of misguided people claiming to predict the day of Christ’s return.  While I admire their longing for Christ’s return, I abhor what their misguided "knowledge" has led them to do and say.  As always, it just seems to give our culture one more reason to scoff at the claims of Christ.  Good thing we don’t stone false prophets any more.

SUNDAY WORSHIP:  We’re continuing on in our new series in Ephesians 6 about “Suiting Up for Spiritual Victory.”  Whether you like it or not, you’re in this fight.  Come and experience what God has in store for you this week in His Word and His people, the church, at 9 and 11AM Sunday.
Speaking of this series, I’ll be posting a few answers to most of the questions submitted last week about our Enemy in this fight to our Mosaic Blog.  There were lots of really great questions.

SUMMER “GARDENS of GOD” BIBLE STUDY:  It looks like we’ll be enjoying God’s gardens (in a number ways) starting the 2^nd week of June through August.  Our brother, author and Bible study leader par excellence, Mike Mann, will be guiding this study group. Gardens in the Bible are often a metaphor for the work He is doing in our own hearts. Come and experience how God uses gardens in His Word to show us the depth, breadth, and intimacy of his love in ways that words alone can't express.  So plan to enjoy summer’s Friday evenings smelling the flowers!  Contact Mike at or 924-3415.
